Safe Replacement.

Grinding disc replacement – this activity has always caused difficulties for the Zweibrücken based machine manufacturer. Especially after a longer service life, the quality and the diameter of the discs have changed in such a way that a replacement was always accompanied by a higher risk of injury or accident. When the new acquisition of a CNC- profile grinding machine was on the agenda, all production processes were literally put to the acid test. This led to the idea to find a solution for more safety and health at work with regards to the recognized problem.  No sooner said than done: Thanks to the practical and direct cooperation of machine operators and tool makers, a special device was quickly developed which now allows for a secure handling during the process of replacing the grinding discs.

Pallmann Maschinenfabrik together with the idea providers therefore received the highest safety award „the smart fox“ from the BGHM.
